Looking to delete old templates or simply file some away from your active templates list? If you have templates that you no longer need to use, you can either archive them so they are removed from your team’s templates list, or delete them completely.

This article shows you how to archive templates, restore archived templates, and delete archived templates. You must have “View, Edit and Delete” permission to templates you wish to archive or delete. Learn how you can share your templates with your team.

Archive a template

Web app:

  1. Log in to the iAuditor web app.
  2. Select “Templates” from the left-hand side menu.
  3. Select the checkbox(es) corresponding to the template(s) you wish to archive.
  4. Click “Archive” on the upper-right corner of the page.
  5. This moves the selected templates to the Templates Archive. If the templates you archived are still visible on your mobile app, try refreshing your templates list by dragging down on the screen whilst connected to the internet.

Mobile app:

  1. Log in to iAuditor on your mobile phone.
  2. Tap on “Inspections” at the bottom of your screen.
  3. Select the “Templates” tab at the top of your screen.
  4. Search and select the template you wish to archive.
  5. Select “Archive” from the pop-up options.
  6. Confirm this action by tapping “Archive” again in the pop-up window.
  7. This moves the selected template to the Templates Archive.

Restore an archived template

Web app:

  1. Log in to the iAuditor web app.
  2. Click “Templates” from the left-hand side menu.
  3. Select “Archive” from the tab on the top of the page.
  4. To restore a single template, hover your cursor over the template you wish to restore.
  5. Click “Restore” on the right-hand side.
  6. To restore templates in bulk, select the checkboxes corresponding to the templates you wish to restore.
  7. Click “Restore” on the upper-right corner of the page.
  8. This moves the selected templates back to the Templates list. If you don’t see restored templates on your mobile app, try refreshing your templates list by dragging down on the screen whilst connected to the internet.

Mobile app:

This action is not supported on the mobile app. Please see the section above for how to restore an archived template on the web app.

Delete a template

A template must first be archived before it can be deleted. Please see the section above for how to archive a template if the template you wish to delete is not yet archived.

IMPORTANT NOTE

Deleting templates from the archive is permanent and irreversible. We cannot restore permanently deleted items. Confirmation is always required before deleting archived templates, so be sure you are not accidentally deleting the wrong templates.

Web app:

  1. Log in to the iAuditor web app.
  2. Click “Templates” from the left-hand side menu.
  3. Select “Archive” from the tab on the top of the page.
  4. To delete a single template, hover your cursor over the template you wish to delete.
  5. Click “Delete” on the right-hand side.
  6. Confirm this action by clicking “Delete” again in the pop-up window.
  7. To delete templates in bulk, select the checkboxes corresponding to the templates you wish to delete.
  8. Click “Delete” on the upper-right corner of the page.
  9. Confirm this action by clicking “Delete” again in the pop-up window.
  10. This deletes the selected templates permanently.

Mobile app:

This action is not supported on the mobile app. Please see the section above for how to delete a template on the web app.
