From time to time, you might need to share your templates with team members that are using iAuditor, but in another iAuditor organization. One way you can share your templates in this scenario is to upload your template to the Public Library for your team members to download. However, if you don’t want users outside of your organization to be able to download the template, another method is to export and send your template from the mobile app so that the recipients can import the exported templates into their accounts. This article shows you how to export and import templates on the mobile app.

Before you begin

Please note that both features are only available on the mobile app. Whilst both free and Premium accounts can import iAuditor templates, only Premium accounts can export them.

In addition, you must have “View and Edit” permission at least for the template you wish to export, and you must have the “Template Creation” permission in order to import templates. Learn how you can share your templates with your team and assign permissions as an administrator.

iAuditor templates can be exported to the following formats:

  • iAuditor template (.iat): This is an iAuditor proprietary file format used to package template data, including all media files. We recommend using this format when sharing templates with users outside of your organization.
  • Template CSV: This is a CSV file that contains all the metadata of an iAuditor template, not including the media files. We recommend using this format when you need to view the content of a template outside of iAuditor.
