We understand that as operations change in our organization, the things you monitor may shift over time. With Sensors in iAuditor, you can update your sensors' settings at any time, from changing a sensor’s site name and timezone to calibrating its readings when necessary.

This article shows you how to update the settings for sensors in your organization on the web app and the mobile app. Please note that this article does not apply to data feeds, such as local weather.

Before you begin

You must have the “Sensor Management” permission to update the settings of sensors in your organization. Learn how to assign permissions as an administrator.

The following settings can be updated for sensors.

  • Change site: change the site a sensor belongs to.
  • Change timezone: change the timezone a sensor belongs to. The timezone is displayed in sensor alerts and CSV exports.
  • Calibrate device: adjust the readings from a sensor. Changes affect all future sensor readings for a device, starting from the next sensor reading.
