Weather data can give you greater insight into the specific environmental conditions of inspection areas. It can also help you decide if an inspection is required because certain weather conditions have occurred. In iAuditor, users have the ability to add temperature and humidity readings to their accounts, powered by AccuWeather. With these data feeds, not only can you access historical logs of weather conditions, but you can also set them up to alert team members when conditions go outside of an acceptable range.

This article shows you how to add weather feeds to your iAuditor account on the web app and the mobile app. Once added, you can also set up alerts to automatically notify you and your team when temperature and humidity go outside of your defined range! At iAuditor, we also provide hardware sensor solutions Find out how others are getting value from iAuditor monitoring and how you can get on board as well!

Before you begin

You must have the “Sensor Management” permission to add local weather feeds to your organization. Learn more about permissions and how you can assign them as an administrator.

During set up, you will be prompted to create or select the site name for each sensor you add. Keep in mind that at this stage, sensor sites are different from the sites used in other areas of the product such as inspections and actions. Rest assured, we do plan on bringing both together in the future!

Currently, we support temperature and humidity readings as part of weather data feeds. But we will support more weather types soon! These will be automatically available to you once you have the weather set up. If there is a particular weather type you would like to see, please let us know by providing your feedback.
