SafetyCulture has recently released the API for the new PDF and Word report formats, this means your Zapier zaps can now be configured to generate inspection reports using the updated format available in the iAuditor Web and Mobile app.

Follow the below instructions to change the Actions within your Zap to use the new Reporting Actions.

Update Zap Actions:

  1. Log into your Zapier account, locate your Zap, select the drop menu and “Edit”
  2. On the left hand side, locate the Action: “Prepare Audit Report (Legacy)”, select the options menu and “Delete”
  3. Now you need to add the new Action to your Zap – click the “+” button after the Audit Completion Trigger
Search and select iAuditor, then “Save + Continue” with “Start Inspection Export (New)”
  4. Select the iAuditor account, then “Continue”
  5. Now you can setup the Export details of the Zap, then “Continue”
    • Audit ID: The unique ID of the Audit – select it from the + icon dropdown menu under Step 1
    • Document Type: The type of report to generate – select either a PDF or Word document
    • Report Preference (optional): Apply a previously created Export Profile to the Audit to make sure the report’s appearance remains consistent.
Note that Timezone shown on the exported report follows the account setting from which the API Token is generated

  6. Make sure to trigger a test report to be sent in the next screen as this will be used later, then “Continue”
  7. You can keep the Delay Action as is as it will still be needed
Like in Step 2, select the menu on the “Get Audit Report (Legacy)” actions and “Delete
  8. Now you need to add the new Action to your Zap – click the “+” button after the Delay Action
Search and select iAuditor, then “Save + Continue” with “Get Inspection Export (New)”
  9. Now that the export Zap created, you can build the process for getting the exported file
Search and select iAuditor once more, then “Save + Continue” with “Get Inspection Export (New)”
  10. Select the iAuditor account same as before, then “Continue”
  11. Now you can setup the Get Export details of the Zap:
    • Audit ID: The unique ID of the Audit – select it from the + icon dropdown menu under Step 1
    • Export Task ID: The unique export message ID which is created during the “Start Inspection Export (New)” Action – select it from the + icon dropdown menu under Step 2
  12. Make sure to trigger a test for this Action, then “Continue”
  13. The rest of you Zap is likely set to send or upload this inspection report. Everything can be left as you currently have it set except for where the file is selected
Locate where you need to select the file you wish to upload/send. From the drop menu select “4 Get Inspection Report (New)” and then select “Audit Report” – it will then show as below with Exists but not shown
“Continue” and trigger a test to ensure the file is being sent/uploaded correctly, then “Finish”
  14. Turn the Zap back on
