Deep linking is the practice of directing users deeper into a webpage or mobile app through the use of uniform resource identifiers (URI). In the context of iAuditor, you can create deep links that take your team members to specific templates, inspections, and even specific inspection pages or questions. This is a great way to accurately direct people to what they need to see, to either start a new inspection or edit an existing one.

This article shows you how to create deep links that can take users to specific areas in the iAuditor web app and mobile app. You can use deep links with any integrations you may have created, to automatically direct users to specific documents.

Before you begin

You can embed deep links in various ways to simplify access for your users, such as embedding in email texts, customized buttons on mobile devices, or even QR codes. Keep in mind that deep links between the web app and the mobile app are formatted differently, so be sure to create the most appropriate deep links based on your organization’s workflow.

As iAuditor deep links are created with document unique identifiers, we recommend that you learn how to retrieve unique identifiers before creating deep links. Please note, users can only be directed to templates or inspections that they have access to. Learn how to provide templates and inspections access to users or groups.
