From our users of iAuditor, we are often asked: “how can I export my audit data automatically”? Customers need to export data for different reasons such as compliance, archiving, reporting, analytics and more.
This typically consists of three parts of an ETL (extract, transform and load) workflow: extract audit data from iAuditor, the web platform, transform it to fit your requirements (e.g. select particular audit responses) and load it into a third-party application that you use e.g. a database. The transform and load steps will need to be implemented by you since you are in control of your individual data formatting and workflow needs. If you do not have any development resources available, we recommend using a third-party integration service such as Zapier (as described below).
By providing an API and SDK tools, we help you extract your data from iAuditor, the web app. There are a number of ways to extract audit data from SafetyCulture. Below are examples that cover the most common use cases.
Note: All automatic exporting use cases require a Premium subscription.
Zapier is a third party integration service that allows you to automatically export audit data without having to install and run the software. Using Zapier you can export audit data to an online spreadsheet like Google Sheet or Microsoft Excel Online, Salesforce and hundreds of other cloud-based applications.’
More information on how to start and share audits automatically with Zapier is available here.

With the Audit exporter tool, users can export audit data in in the following formats:
Media files, actions, and Web Report links can also be exported using the tool.
With minimal development effort, you can transform and load the exported audit data into any third-party application such as:
Tip: By configuring the audit exporter tool to save audit data to a cloud-synced folder such as DropBox, Box, Google Drive or One Drive/One Drive for Business, you can automatically archive audit data to the cloud and link them to other applications using services such as Zapier, MS Flow etc. Using MS Flow, you can then connect exported audit data to SharePoint or other document management systems.
The iAuditor developer portal has information on how to build custom solutions for any platform or environment. It also has a number of use cases, such as checking for audits modified within a specified date range and exporting the audit data.
