Looking to delete old inspections or simply file away from the active inspections list? If you have inspections that you no longer need to use, you can either archive them so they are removed from your inspections list, or delete them completely. This article shows you how to archive inspections, restore archived inspections, and delete archived inspections. You must have “View, Edit and Delete” permission to inspections you wish to archive or delete. Learn how you can auto-share your inspections with your team.

Archive an inspection

Web app

  1. Log in to the iAuditor web app.
  2. Select “Inspections” from the left-hand side menu.
  3. Select the checkbox(es) corresponding to the inspection(s) you wish to archive.
  4. Click "Archive" on the upper-right corner of the page.
  5. This moves the selected inspections to the Inspections Archive. If the inspections you archived are still visible on your mobile app, try refreshing your inspections list by dragging down on the screen whilst connected to the internet.

Mobile app

  1. Log in to iAudior on your mobile device.
  2. Tap on “Inspections” at the bottom of your screen.
  3. Select the "In Progress & Complete" tab at the top of your screen.
  4. Search and select the inspection you wish to archive.
  5. Select accordingly:
    iOS (Apple) users: Tap the 3 dots at the upper-right corner of your screen and select “Archive” from the pop-up options.
    Android users: Select “Archive” from the pop-up options.
  6. Confirm this action by tapping “OK” (Android) or “Archive” (iOS) again in the pop-up window.
  7. This moves the selected inspection to the Inspections Archive.

Restore an archived inspection

Web app:

  1. Log in to the iAuditor web app.
  2. Click “Inspections” from the left-hand side menu.
  3. Select “Archive” from the tab on the top of the page.
  4. To restore a single inspection, hover your cursor over the inspection you wish to restore.
  5. Click “Restore” on the right-hand side.
  6. To restore inspections in bulk, select the checkboxes corresponding to the inspections you wish to restore.
  7. Click “Restore” on the upper-right corner of the page.
  8. This moves the selected inspections back to the Inspections list. If you don’t see restored inspections on your mobile app, try refreshing your inspections list by dragging down on the screen whilst connected to the internet.

Mobile app:

This action is not supported on the mobile app. Please see the section above for how to restore an archived inspection on the web app.

Delete an inspection

An inspection must first be archived before it can be deleted. Please see the section above for how to archive an inspection if the inspection you wish to delete is not yet archived.

IMPORTANT NOTE

Deleting inspections from the archive is permanent and irreversible. We cannot restore permanently deleted items. Confirmation is always required before deleting archived inspections, so be sure you are not accidentally deleting the wrong inspections.

Web app:

  1. Log in to the iAuditor web app.
  2. Click “Inspections” from the left-hand side menu.
  3. Select “Archive” from the tab on the top of the page.
  4. To delete a single inspection, hover your cursor over the inspection you wish to delete.
  5. Click “Delete” on the right-hand side.
  6. Confirm this action by clicking “Delete” again in the pop-up window.
  7. To delete inspections in bulk, select the checkboxes corresponding to the inspections you wish to delete.
  8. Click “Delete” on the upper-right corner of the page.
  9. Confirm this action by clicking “Delete” again in the pop-up window.
  10. This deletes the selected inspections permanently.

Mobile app:

This action is not supported on the mobile app. Please see the section above for how to restore an archived inspection on the web app.
