Analytics is a powerful tool for getting the most out of your inspection data.  From individual users to entire teams, knowing how items and questions are trending can make the difference for your entire organization.  Below is an in-depth look at the Analytics feature on the iAuditor website.

Overview Dashboards

These are the summary graphs that are drawn from your inspection results.

You will see:

  1. Conducted: Representing trends on number of inspections conducted. Click the title “Inspections Conducted” to go to the detailed report, or hover over a point in time and click on it to take a look at the inspections of that given time period.
  2. Performance: Showing trends of average inspection scores. Click on the title “Inspection Performance” to take a detailed look of inspection scores, or hover over the graph to drill down to a particular period.
  3. Breakdown of responses across Inspections: Use the dropdown bar to see how your team has responded against other response sets.
  4. Exceptions reporting of failed responses, lowest scoring inspections and inspections with the most failed items: Click on the live links to drill down to the inspection data. For failed items and failed responses, please refer to our failed response training videos to learn how to set them inside your templates and get the most value out of these exceptions reporting.
  5. Inspection information by location: This shows you where inspections have been conducted across your teams. Ask your teams to enable location services on their devices to collect more accurate inspection location information.

Filters

Filters allow you to see the information that you are most interested in viewing. These filters will be applied across all reports, no matter how far you have drilled down.

  1. Date Range: Click on one of the pre-defined date range to see yesterday’s data, last week’s, last month’s or this month’s. Or use the date picker to custom define the start and then the end date of the time period you want to limit the data to.
  2. Trend: Pick the type of trend you want to compare data to, such as yearly trend, quarterly trend, monthly trend, weekly trend or daily trend.
  3. Template: Filter down to one or more inspection forms
  4. Items and Response: Compare responses given to a particular question across multiple Templates or Inspection results.
  5. Author: Last user to edit an inspection
  6. Owner: User that created the inspection
  7. Group: Drill down to see the data collected by a specific group. This matches to the groups set up inside of your organization account
  8. Completed, Incomplete, Archived Inspections 
    IMPORTANT NOTE

     Once you apply your filters, you can bookmark these dashboard charts so that they can be accessed easily when you next login. You can also export any of these charts and send them to your teams.

Inspections Conducted

This is a detailed report against the inspections conducted over a given period of time. To get to the detailed report, click the “Inspections Conducted” or “Total Inspections Conducted” titles on the main Overview dashboard.

  1. Within the chart,  you can switch between a bar chart or line chart, export the table out in PNG or CSV, or bookmark this chart for easy navigation next time you log in. The two lines next to the ‘bookmark’ icon allows you to see the details of the table below.
  2. The table below the chart shows you the number of inspections conducted in any given day, week or month depending on the type of trend you are interested in seeing.
  3. Use the “next” and “previous” buttons to scroll through the defined period of time.
  4. Use the arrow next to “author” to compare data against authors, owners, or groups set up inside your organization.
  5. Click on any particular user or group name to drill down to see all the inspections conducted by them. Click on the template name under the user/group to see the inspections done by the given user using the selected template.
  6. Once you have drilled down to the detailed report, you can export the summary in CSV, or export all data captured by these inspections in PDF, Word, CSV or JSON.

Inspection Performance

This is the detailed report against the inspection performance based on scores, over a given period of time. To get to the detailed report, click the “Inspection Performance” title on the main Overview dashboard.

  1. Within the chart, the top right you can switch between a bar chart or line chart, export the table out in PNG or CSV, or bookmark this chart for easy navigation next time you login. Hover over each point of the graph to see how many inspections are conducted at the selected time.
  2. The table below the chart shows you the average score of inspections conducted against a particular Template. The data will be shown on a daily, weekly or monthly basis depending on the type of trend you’re interested in seeing.
  3. Use the “next” and “previous” buttons to scroll through the defined period of time.
  4. Use the arrow next to “SCORE %” to analyze trends on average scores, minimum scores or maximum scores.
  5. Once you have the information you need, export the summary in CSV, or export all data captured by these inspections in PDF, Word, CSV or JSON, by clicking on ‘Export’ on top right.

Responses

The detailed Responses report allows you to see the mix of responses for each question or item type across a range of inspections for a given template. Using this report, you could for example identify which yes/no questions in an inspection are most likely to get a ‘no’ response.

  1. To get to the detailed report, first navigate to the inspections section within Analytics (either by clicking on “Inspections” in the top navigation, or in the left hand sidebar)
  2. Click on “Responses” in the top sub-navigation menu that appears
  3. Once you’re on the main Responses tab, you will see a list of all your templates.
  4. Click on a template to expand the list of inspections that were completed from it.
  5. Tick the inspections that you are interested in viewing the aggregated response history for
  6. Select the “View Responses” button in the top right side of the screen.
  7. On the next screen, you will see the list of items or questions in the template, and the range of responses for each aggregated score across the inspections selected. Clicking on any given item shows you the response history by the number of unique responses to that question, and the percentage of the unique response relative to the total number of responses.

Failed Items

The Failed Items report collects all the inspection data that has been identified as failures across selected Templates. To get to the detailed report, click any of the ‘Failed Items’ headings on the main Overview dashboard.

  1. Once in the Failed Items report, hover over a point in time and click on it to take a look at the inspection of that given time period. You can also switch between line chart and bar chart here.
  2. You can click on the two lines next to the Bookmark icon to display further breakdown of information. This allows the failed items to be categorized further by Author, Owner and Groups within the organization.
  3. Drill down by clicking on the inspections. You will see the failed responses recorded, along with notes and images that the inspectors entered to support their responses.
  4. Be sure to update your templates and set failed responses for high risk, mission-critical questions.

Item Scores

The Items Scores report allows you to deep dive into the scores at a question level across selected Templates. To get to the report, first navigate to the “Inspections” section within Analytics (either by clicking on “Inspections” in the top navigation, or in the left hand sidebar) and then click on “Item Scores” in the top sub-navigation menu that appears.

  1. Once on the main report page, if you have not already used the common filter on the left of the screen to drill down to see data of a specific Template, you can select the Template here.
  2. Use the “next” and “previous” buttons to scroll through the defined period of time.
  3. Use the arrow next to “SCORE %” to analyze trends on average scores, minimum scores, or maximum scores of inspection completed each Templates.
