We understand that it’s very common for many businesses to work with people outside their own organization for projects or maintenance tasks. That’s why in iAuditor, you can assign actions you create to people outside your iAuditor organization, such as external teams or contractors, and notify them to complete tasks.

This article shows you how to assign actions to people outside your iAuditor organization via email on the web app and the mobile app.

Before you begin

External assignees are notified via email for the actions they’re assigned. For each email, the recipient can click either View action or Update status to view the action details and activity screen.

Please note that an external assignee can only update the action status. If an action was created in an inspection, the assignee would view the question label, the response, and the inspection title on the activity screen. However, the inspection report link would be inaccessible to the assignee.

If you would like external assignees to collaborate beyond just actions, learn how you can invite people to your iAuditor organization as users.
