To make sure that you are always on top of your game, it’s important to stay up to date on the latest information and be reminded of any tasks that may need to be completed. With iAuditor, you are able to receive notifications from a wide range of app events and customize how you’d like to receive them. Either via your mobile device’s push notifications, via email, or via text messages (SMS).

This article shows you how to customize the notifications for your iAuditor account on the web app and the mobile app. If you’re an administrator or a user with the “User Management” permission, you can also customize the notification settings for your users.

Before you begin

You can customize your iAuditor account’s notifications on both the web app and the mobile app. Changes made on either platform automatically apply to the other when syncing takes place. We recommend that you take a look at what events trigger notifications in iAuditor before you customize the settings.

Actions reminders overdueReceive a notification when an action assigned to you is overdue. 24 hours after the due date.
New issue reportedReceive a notification when a new issue has been reported. Based on the issue alert settings.
Issue assigned or sharedReceive a notification when an issue is assigned or shared with you.
Issue resolvedReceive a notification when an issue you created is resolved.
Comments and media addedReceive a notification when a comment or media is added to an issue you’re following.
Issue reminders due soonReceive a notification when an issue assigned to you is due soon. 1 hour before the due date.
Issue reminders overdueReceive a notification when an issue assigned to you is overdue. 24 hours after the due date.
Inspection triggered notificationsReceive a notification when a specified response is selected in an inspection.
Sensor alert triggeredReceive a notification when an alert is triggered from a sensor that’s assigned to you.
Scheduled inspection remindersReceive a notification when a scheduled inspection assigned to you is about to start.

Add your mobile phone number

Please note that if you wish to receive notifications via text messages or SMS, you need to add your mobile phone number to your account first and verify it. Keep in mind that mobile phone numbers can only be added by users themselves on the web app.

  1. Log in to the iAuditor web app.
  2. Click your username on the lower-left corner of the page.
  3. Select “Account Settings”.
  4. Click “Notifications” on the top of the page, below your username.
  5. Click “Edit” in the “Mobile number” box, then select your phone region and type in your mobile number.
  6. Click “Save and send verification code”. This sends a text message or SMS to your mobile phone number, containing a six-digit verification that must be entered into the “Verification code” field before the number is saved to your account.
  7. Enter the verification code.
  8. Click “Verify” to add the mobile phone number and enable SMS notifications as an option.

Customize notifications

Web app

  1. Log in to the iAuditor web app.
  2. Click your username on the lower-left corner of the page.
  3. Select “Account Settings”.
  4. Click “Notifications” on the top of the page, below your username.
  5. Click “Edit” in the “Notification Settings” box and customize your notifications accordingly.
  6. Click “Save changes” at the bottom of the page to update your account notifications.

Mobile app: Android

  1. Open the iAuditor mobile app.
  2. Tap on “… More” at the bottom of your screen.
  3. Tap on “Settings”.
  4. Select “Notifications”.
  5. Select the notification method and customize your notifications accordingly.

Mobile app: iOS

  1. Log in to iAuditor on your mobile device.
  2. Tap on “… More” at the bottom of your screen.
  3. Tap on “Settings”.
  4. Scroll to the NOTIFICATIONS section.
  5. Select the notification method and customize your notifications accordingly.
